The California Energy Commission (CEC) will conduct a wide review of California’s active nuclear power plants, Diablo Canyon and San Onofre, in light of environmental, safety, and economic implications of the Fukushima nuclear catastrophe in Japan. CA Public Utilities Commissioners (CPUC) will participate. CEC & CPUC will review progress (or lack of it) by PG&E, SoCal Edison and SDG&E, regarding earthquake studies and other actions ordered by the legislature and California energy agencies."
