New Equipment Cleaning Japan Plant Coolant

The operator of Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant on Saturday fully phased in use of a mechanism for removing radioactive material from water and cycling it back into the facility for reuse as coolant, marking a significant milestone in stabilization efforts, the Asahi Shimbun reported (see GSN, July 1).
