Report: Japan studied worst-case scenarios after nuclear incident
Japanese
officials planned for a worst-case scenario after the March 11
earthquake and tsunami struck the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant,
according to a report from the Rebuild Japan Initiative Foundation.
Then-Prime Minister Naoto Kan ordered Japan Atomic Energy Commission
Chairman Shunsuke Kondo to come up with a worst-case scenario study and
measures to guarantee public safety in the aftermath of the incident. The Wall Street Journal
