The Obama administration's northern Arizona uranium-mining ban will withstand a legal challenge filed by the Nuclear Energy Institute and the National Mining Association, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said. The groups argue that the ban, which covers 1 million acres of public land near the Grand Canyon, is unconstitutional.
