Rolls Royce project from UK Government to develop Thorium LFTR is absolutely wonderful news, and provides potential export of Thorium LFTR system products from the UK together with Plutonium waste disposal services via transmutation which could earn the UK economy trillions of $$$. This is clearly bad news for US nuclear industry that languishes with obsolete solid-fuel technology, for example PRISM. Even the technically capable Chinese have sensibly appreciated the huge benefit that Thorium LFTR can bring to China.
