Areva CEO says company, CGNPC are pursuing U.K. nuclear venture

Areva and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding Co. jointly bid for the Horizon nuclear venture in the U.K., Areva CEO Luc Oursel confirmed. "Within the end of the year, the seller along with the British government, will disclose their decision and the team that will take over this project," Oursel said. Areva also hopes to complete an agreement with India for the development of two European Pressurized Reactors, he said. The Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones Newswires
