Fukushima groundwater makes fishermen fearful -

 

The Fukushima Fisheries Union has rejected Tepco's request to discharge groundwater to the sea. The union representatives cite two reasons. First, most of their members don't know the difference between groundwater and contaminated waste water. Second, those who know the difference say any discharge to the sea will cause marketplace rumors that will harm their livelihood. Money being spent to compensate evacuees who refuse to go home out of fear, should be shifted to educating the public on the realities of radiation.
