Utility Views of Microgrids

There has been a lot of discussion about microgrids lately, but not much has been revealed about utilities' views on them. Utility Dive recently surveyed over 250 utility experts with their opinion in mind, and compiled their answers into a revealing report ( http://goo.gl/nAcFvZ ).

"The Utility View of Microgrids" examines the utility perspective on questions like:

- Do utilities believe that microgrids heighten the risk of a central grid failure?
- Do utilities want to partner on microgrids or run the show themselves?
- How should microgrid development costs be passed along to customers?
- What role do utilities think regulation should play in microgrid development?
