The Environmental Protection Agency will raise the reporting threshold to at least 75,000 tons annually and maybe more than 100,000 tons annually for stationary sources of greenhouse gases during the first stage of regulations between 2011 and 2012, according to Administrator Lisa Jackson. Speaking before a Senate appropriations subcommittee, Jackson said that "it will probably be at least two years before we would look at something like, say, a 50,000 [tons-per-year] threshold."
