The Department of Energy has no master plan to guide the closure of the Yucca Mountain nuclear-waste repository in Nevada, according to a memorandum from Gregory Friedman, the agency's inspector general. Friedman was reportedly informed in March that the agency was drafting a master plan for the project's termination.
