David McIntyre, a public affairs officer with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, criticized a recent article on an anti-terrorism drill held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, saying it leaves an incorrect impression that hazardous nuclear material stored at the school and other sites are susceptible to terrorist attacks and are only guarded by "voluntary security measures."
