Germany's new nuclear taxes to cost RWE about $653M per year

A new set of taxes directed at the operators of Germany's 17 nuclear plants will reduce RWE's net income by about $653 million per year, according to Rolf Pohlig, the utility's finance director. The levies will also reduce RWE's annual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization by about $914 million annually, Pohlig said. Reuters
