Russia Is Seeking to Build Europe’s Nuclear Plants


Rosatom to bid for Czech project, aims to expand EU market share
Russia's Rosatom, the world's largest builder of nuclear plants, is planning to expand its presence in the EU. The company is preparing a bid on its second EU project -- an expansion of the Temelin nuclear plant in the Czech Republic. Aside from expanding its reactor-construction business in Europe, Rosatom aims to boost its position in the worldwide fuel market from 17% now to 25% by 2025. The New York Times (free registration)
