Time to go nuclear Building new generation of plants is only solution to dependency on oil

Nuclear power can reduce dependence on oil
To reduce the country's dependence on foreign oil, the U.S. needs to begin producing and using more nuclear power, according to this newspaper editorial. China is mass-producing nuclear reactors, and India says it will produce 470,000 megawatts of nuclear energy by 2050. Nuclear power can effectively replace oil better than solar and wind energy, which accounts for only 3% of today's energy use, this editorial argues. The Buffalo News (N.Y.)
