The Yucca Mountain repository project and other radioactive-waste issues are a priority for early hearings by the House Subcommittee on Energy and Environment, said Rep. John Shimkus, R-Ill., chairman of the subpanel. "What do we do with high-level nuclear waste? That problem has not gone away. ...
