SDG&E Adds More Than 235 MW of Solar Power to Its Renewable Portfolio

  1. Diesel generators were started to provide cooling when the Japanese quake cut power to their nuclear power plant. The diesel engines were destroyed when tsunami water entered their intakes. The engines would have been saved if battery power had been used until the tsunami threat was over. I hope our nuclear plants will learn from their mistake.
