Japan's reactor stress tests are consistent with IAEA norms
A
team of International Atomic Energy Agency experts approved Japan's
stress tests for its nuclear plants. "We concluded that [the Nuclear and
Industrial Safety Agency's] instructions to power plants [and] its
review process for the comprehensive safety assessments are generally
consistent with IAEA safety standards," said James Lyons, head of the
IAEA team that reviewed the tests. Reuters
