Japan's reactor stress tests are consistent with IAEA norms
A team of International Atomic Energy Agency experts approved Japan's stress tests for its nuclear plants. "We concluded that [the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency's] instructions to power plants [and] its review process for the comprehensive safety assessments are generally consistent with IAEA safety standards," said James Lyons, head of the IAEA team that reviewed the tests.
