Bureau of Labor Statistics: Nuclear Power Accounts for 35,800 Green Jobs
According to a news release by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, at least 3.1 million Americans are employed in green jobs, a sector that now accounts for 2.4 percent of the nation's total employment. The report also listed the nuclear power industry as with the most Green Goods and Services employment in the private electric power generation, with 35,800 jobs in 2010.It was the first time the BLS released an official count of environmentally friendly jobs.
