Group seeks implementation of radioactive-waste proposals
The Department of Energy needs to implement the federal blue-ribbon commission's radioactive-waste storage proposals to put an end to years of used-fuel-management uncertainty, according to the New England Council. The development of more permanent repositories and the creation of a federal agency to monitor waste removal are among the panel's recommendations. Hartford Business Journal (Conn.)
