AEP seeks to upgrade Mich. nuclear plant
American Electric Power submitted a $1.17 billion proposal to Indiana regulators regarding a planned upgrade of its Cook nuclear plant in Michigan. AEP is seeking approval to recoup from its customers the interest charges linked with the project, which is expected to take six years to complete. The plant represents 40% of the energy portfolio of Indiana and Michigan. Reuters
