Conn. plant seeks to transfer more used fuel to dry containers
Dominion seeks to transfer more used nuclear fuel from the Unit 2 reactor of its Millstone nuclear plant in Connecticut to dry storage containers in 2012, said Stephen Scace, site vice president. The company doesn't intend to construct more storage facilities this year, Scace noted. There are also no plans to construct more reactors at the plant, even though it has room for an additional three units, said Dan Weekley, the company's vice president of government affairs.
