Progress clears key environmental milestone for Fla. reactor project
Progress Energy Florida's plan to build two new AP1000 reactors at a site in Levy County, Fla., moved forward after the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released a final environmental-impact statement for the project. There are no adverse environmental effects that would preclude licensing of the reactors, according to the final EIS. Platts
