May 23, 2012 – JAPAN – A 6.1
magnitude earthquake have struck off the northeast coast of Japan at a
depth of 40 km (25.3 miles). The epicenter of the earthquake was 109 km
(68 miles) NNE (26°) from Hachinohe, Honshu, Japan and some 666 km (414
miles) NNE (17°) from TOKYO, Japan. Today’s earthquake is only the
latest in an escalating series of recent earthquakes plaguing the
eastern shores of Japan. A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast
of Honshu, Japan on May 20, 2012. Seismic tension is rising along this
corridor of Japan and these quakes are indications that a larger
earthquake lurks in Japan’s near future. –The Extinction Protocol
