ATMEA1 Technology Also Under Preliminary Review in Canada
Following
an extensive two-year evaluation, the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission
(JAEC) has selected two finalists to build the first nuclear reactor in
Jordan. JAEC has selected the ATMEA1 technology, developed by a joint venture comprising AREVA Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) known as ATMEA.
This decision represents a significant milestone in the technological development of ATMEA 1, a new world-class model of 1,100 MWe nuclear power reactor.
