China could resume the approval of new reactor projects by the end of the year, said Ricardo Perez, president and chief operating officer of Westinghouse Electric. "China has been in the process of debating whether additional units will be built inland or [in] coastal locations, and we have been told that coastal sites are now under discussion," Perez said at the Nuclear Energy Institute's conference in North Carolina.
