Former Nuclear Testing Tower Demolished in Nevada (w/ video)

The "Bare Reactor Experiment, Nevada" tower (BREN tower) - the tallest free-standing structure west of the Mississippi - came tumbling down Wednesday in a controlled demolition.
The huge tower - taller than the Empire State Building and the Eiffel Tower - was used to estimate radiation doses received by WWII nuke survivors in the 1960s. It was last used for research in 1999.
