India commission orders disclosure of nuclear-safety reports

India commission orders disclosure of nuclear-safety reports
Nuclear Power Corp. of India must disclose safety reports for the Kudankulam nuclear project within a month, the country's Central Information Commission said. "If such reports are put in public domain, citizen's views and concerns can be articulated in a scientific and reasonable manner," according to the CIC. Unwillingness to share the reports' contents could weaken public trust in the Indian government's decisions, the commission said. LiveMint.com/The Wall Street Journal (India)
