N.C. lawmaker says nuclear must be part of U.S. clean-energy goals
President
Barack Obama's clean and cost-effective energy goals "must include
nuclear," Rep. G.K. Butterfield, D-N.C., said during the Nuclear Energy
Institute's annual conference in North Carolina. "Congress must get
serious about implementing a long-term energy policy, diversify energy
choices and put us on a path toward a new energy future," he said. The Charlotte Observer (N.C.)
