China supports the peaceful development of nuclear energy, Cheng Jingye, a senior Chinese official, said during a nuclear conference. He cited the International Atomic Energy Agency's role in the matter, and urged countries with nuclear energy capabilities to aid others in the peaceful development of the power source.
