Panel's waste management proposals are better than none

Panel's waste management proposals are better than none
The federal blue ribbon commission's recommendations for the management of radioactive waste are better than continuing to allow the material to just pile up in places that weren't designed for long-term storage, writes the editorial board of The Washington Post. The proposals call for the establishment of a new radioactive waste body that would be tasked to develop interim storage sites and use a new method for the permanent disposal of the material.
