Rising Sea Levels

Sea level rise around the world and in CA

Add in an El Nino (9" during the strong 1997-8 season), high tide (??"), and storm surge (??").

Cape Mendocino (near OR) and up through Oregon/Washington is in better shape because sea level is actually falling as the land has been rising (this will change when the speed of sea level rise increases, or with a large EQ). Tectonic plate changes at Cape Mendocino.

A recent study in Science predicted less than one meter of sea level rise this century, based on Greenland studies. This report assumes more than a meter is possible.
