Still working on our Grant Application Draft

If you would like removal from our mail list please return a note,
"kindly remove from list". It is very time consuming for us to parse bounces and
other reports on the Constant Contact permission database, THANKS MUCH

As we have been working on our grant application for weeks now we are trying to assemble a document that reviews both the past and current circumstances concerning the Yucca Mountain facility. We hope this document will provide a successful educational program to Nevada citizens as it will also cover an economic impact study of the Yucca facility and literature to detail the economics as well as communication to all political, business associations and agency stakeholders. It will call for action by Nevada citizens to bring this issue to a public legislative referendum. This is something that this program has needed for the past 30 years in order to allow the TRUE will of Nevada's citizens.

Ellen and I will be in Idaho Falls August 6th through the 11th. As indicated we are currently drafting a Grant Application Proposal for the purpose of educating Nevada citizens about the potential advantages of the Yucca Mountain Project to Nevada's economy and the importance of its establishment to the American public.

The Obama administration's Blue Ribbon Commission on Yucca Mountain has recommended that our country must locate a "community and state friendly" site for America's nuclear storage facility. The mission of our grant application is to secure an estimated 3 million dollars in grant funding directly and specifically for the purpose of providing Nevada's citizens the educational materials via media distribution to provide them with facts and educate our grassroots public that Yucca Mountain must be brought to a Public Referendum.

Our recommendation calls for the transition of the Yucca Repository from a "government entity" to establishing it as a "Public-Private Partnership", specified by government but built and managed by private foundation-business. There are some 26 nationwide stakeholders who support this resolution to a failed national political policy. We believe that this operational structure may be more amenable to unifying forward progress than other directions in the past.

On this trip we hope to be meeting with several of our contacts at the Idaho national laboratory. We would also like to state that although our discussions may be critical of the Department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission we fully and wholeheartedly support the programs and efforts of our U.S. National Laboratories. They provide the science to solving many of our issues but they should not be influenced by political bureaucracy. Visit the INL website:

It has taken a few years but we have finally added our grandson Toby to become our social media advisor. He has already started contributing by adding text, photos and documents to our Facebook website which, after its initial establishment has been relatively dormant simply because of the time required to post and respond to comments. You can take a look at his activity below.

INDUSTRY PERCEPTION OF USNEF: We would like to state that we believe that our nuclear advocacy mission has been a truthful dialogue of what we believe has taken place throughout this industry and our ongoing struggle with nuclear waste disposal. It is very difficult, if not impossible to speak the truth without offending some portion of the industry, politics, bureaucracy, stakeholders etc. However we do feel that it is important that things be said rather than issues being placated and unresolved. Relative to this position is the reason that we are not supported by the nuclear industry, its associations, government agencies or other stakeholders. The eventual resolution to all these things is humanities return to truthful moral character.

Until our next visit, thanks for being there!
