Crowds & Climate Conference a Success! Photos, videos and more |
"There is hope!"
-- Conference delegate, in post-event survey
|
While many conversations about climate change often focus on what
we should be doing, or what we are not yet able to do, last week
delegates engaged in a different kind of conversation:
How can a large groups of people — even a global community —
work together now to effectively address climate change, using new
internet technologies and lessons from other initiatives?
Over 800 scientists, activists,
business and NGO representatives, students, concerned citizens and other
leaders joined us from around the world, in person and online,
representing over 30 countries.
We captured the entire conference via photographs, videos, and
notes from the unconference and we invite you to review them, either for
the first time or to relive the experience:
As Professor Thomas Malone, Director of the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence, said in his closing remarks:
"My hope for this conference, is that by you all participating,
the climate that our children and grandchildren will be living in will
be better than if we had not convened at all. Thank you."
