The Socialist Case for Nuclear

The Socialist Case for Nuclear
How Technology Can Achieve Marx's Vision of a New Society

Most members of the Socialist left have forgotten that the rise and uplifting of human culture has always depended on, and been a function of, this development and utilization of cheaper, more abundant, and denser energy. A movement toward denser fuels has aided the expansion of the forces of production and the use of more laborsaving devices and techniques, and has led to higher-quality goods and superior means of distribution. For today’s growing population, such a world of abundance will require more, not less, energy, and in order to deal with climate change, that energy must be baseload, carbon-free nuclear.
