CNNC and Shanghai Tech Promote TMSR Project
On March 13, Qian Zhimin,
General Manager of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and his
fellows visited the President of Shanghai Tech University and Jiang
Mianheng, the dean of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(Shanghai branch),
discussing on the project research of Thorium Molten Salt Reactor(TMSR)
and talent training.
CNNC attaches great importance to the TSMR project. On the basis of the cooperation framework agreement, both sides will further find the complementary advantages and win-win cooperation in common to push forward the progress of this project.
Jiang Mianheng said that three aspects of work including the design on reactor system, hot chamber, the “three wastes” treatment system and the thermal hydraulic test should be well done recently during the R & D process of TMSR.
Qian Zhimin showed that CNNC will support the construction and development of Shanghai Tech with its professional nuclear talent advantage to work together and develop a world-class nuclear science and technology talents.
