The federal government has received complaints from pilots flying over Ivanpah, the world's largest solar power plant, of nearly blinding glare from the sun's reflection off its vast array of mirrors.

Southern Company’s coal-fueled Kemper County integrated gasification combined-cycle (IGCC) project has met with financial overruns and at least a five month delay on completion. However, some contend the project still represents good business sense for the utility major and companies like it.
