Owners of SONGS, Kewaunee, Vermont Yankee, Crystal River to meet in Charlotte

Hi Michele

SCE’s recently submitted PSDAR maps out that decommissioning work will begin in 2016 at a cost of $4.4bn over 20 years. With Duke, Entergy and Dominion due to present PSDARs shortly, decommissioning planning is at the top of all the US’ largest nuclear utilities’ priority lists.

These plant owners plus every key stakeholder from regulatory bodies, major contractors and technology providers will meet at the Nuclear Decommissioning and Used Fuel Strategy Summit (1-2 October, Charlotte).

Take a look at a detailed sample of the 200+ strong attendee list here

This is the only US meeting to bring together all key stakeholders to discuss the challenges involved in the transition from operating to shutdown plant including used fuel management, licensing, community engagement, technical solutions and much more.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Best Wishes
