CRDM Completes 1:1 Engineering Verification Test
The 1:1 thermal engineering verification test
for control rod drive mechanism (CRDM) of the first loop was smoothly
completed by Tsinghua University, Institute of Nuclear and New Energy
Technology on October 3rd. This test of high temperature demonstration
project lasted for more than four months and cumulative travel distance
of the control rods reached more than 100 km, which equals to operate 80
years in the practical operation. It is another major technical results
of HTGR project.
