HTGR Production Line of Spherical Fuel Assembly Completes Construction in Baotou
Depending on Tsinghua University’s
independent manufacturing technology of 10MW high temperature gas cooled
reactor experiment of spherical fuel element, the core technology and
equipment of the project are all independent design of China which are
capable of manufacturing annual 300,000 spherical fuel assembly.
China North Nuclear Fuel Company (CNNFC) has recently completed the HTGR production line of supplying spherical fuel assembly in Baotou, which is an auxiliary project of China national major science and technology project of HTGR. This line is the world’s first commercial spherical fuel assembly line of the industrial scale.
