MADRID – Nuclear energy can play an important role in combating climate change and become part of the solution, Nobel Prize winner Mario Molina of Mexico said as he prepared Wednesday to receive the United Nations Champions of the Earth Award.

“Nuclear power must be put on the table, because it is part of the solution, although not the only one,” Molina said in an interview with Efe.
