Shidaowan Nuclear Power Plant Started to be Constructed
High temperature gas cooled reactor (HTGR)
featured the most advanced fourth-generation nuclear power technology
has started being constructed in Shidaowan, Shandong province.
At the very first beginning of this project, there are countries like Singapore, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia showed that they would like to buy this technology from China after the HTGR nuclear power plant being successfully constructed. This would be China’s first nuclear power technology export if the goal was achieved.
At present, there is no technology export in China. Chinese third- and fourth- generation nuclear power technology has tried to contact with South Africa and other countries, hoping to participate in South Africa nuclear power projects.
