Nuclear Decommissioning Authority terminates NMP Sellafield contract

Amec Foster Wheeler has been notified that the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is to terminate the NMP Sellafield contract at the end of Q1 2016. The NDA has confirmed this is not performance related and this change does not impact any other Amec Foster Wheeler project work on the Sellafield site.

Exelon Generation promotes two nuclear execs

Michael J. Pacilio, Exelon Nuclear's president and chief nuclear officer since 2010, has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Exelon Generation LLC. Bryan Hanson, Exelon Nuclear COO, has been promoted to senior vice president, Exelon Generation, and president and chief nuclear officer of Exelon Nuclear, replacing Pacilio.

Bechtel, Westinghouse form decommissioning alliance 

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have formed an alliance to provide decontamination and decommissioning services for nuclear power plants throughout the United States.
