First CAP1400 Unit to Start Construction Soon
On March 24th, Gu Jun, the previous General
Manger of SNPTC was appointed as General Manager of China Nuclear
Industry Construction Group Co., Ltd. He disclosed on March 25th that
the first CAP1400 unit will start being constructed soon.
At present, SNPTC is positively striving for the construction of CAP1400 units. CAP1400 nuclear power demonstration project belongs to the major national science and technology projects. SNPTC is in charge of R & D, while State Nuclear Power Demonstration Plant Co., Ltd is responsible for construction and operation. More than RMB 6 billion has been invested within seven years by the government and RMB 10 billion by companies.
