70th Anniversary of the Manhattan Project 


The Atomic Heritage Foundation is presenting events to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Manhattan Project. The events will be held on June 2 and 3, 2015 at the Carnegie Institution for Science, 1530 P Street, NW in Washington, DC. On Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2:30 PM a reunion for Manhattan Project veterans will be a chance for veterans to share their memories, followed by a reception. 
 
On Wednesday, June 3, 2015, a day-long symposium will begin at 9 AM and feature a discussion of the new Manhattan Project National Historical Park by Senator Martin Heinrich and officials from the Departments of Energy and Interior. Sessions with veterans and noted experts will talk about the Manhattan Project and its legacy for today.
