French nuclear group Areva to cut up to 6,000 jobs worldwide
Paris (AFP) May 7, 2015 - French nuclear group Areva, which incurred massive losses last year, announced Thursday it would cut up to 6,000 jobs worldwide as it seeks to slash its costs by a billion euros by 2017. The number of job cuts will be between 5,000 and 6,000 worldwide, said the group's human resources director Francois Nogue. Between 3,000 and 4,000 of the job losses will be in France.
