South Africa nuclear procurement process underway

Last week South Africa’s Energy Minister, was expected to announce the start of the long awaited nuclear procurement process - 32 years on from the commissioning of South Africa’s Koeberg nuclear power plant. But with over three decades since South Africa’s nuclear construction supply chain was tested, learning from other ‘nuclear renaissances’ will be vital to the programme’s success.
In our latest whitepaper, Nuclear Energy Insider reviews several case studies of other countries that have gone through a ‘nuclear renaissance’ to identify the procurement and supply chain challenges ahead of South Africa’s $100billion, 9.6GW nuclear new build programme.
Take a look at the nuclear renaissance whitepaper here
The whitepaper will provide you with:
  • An interview with global nuclear staffing experts Thomas Thor Associates, outlining key lessons learned from previous ‘nuclear renaissances’ including six key recommendations on working in consortiums and investing in the young generation
  • An infographic outlining South Africa’s current supply chain capabilities so you can identify the role your business will be able to play in this nuclear mega-project
  • A detailed overview of South Africa’s most important nuclear stakeholders so you can identify the structure of the nuclear supply chain and how it is likely to develop as the procurement process continues
Let me know if you have any questions
Kind regards
