The
Tennessee Valley Authority has announced the completion of functional
testing as a part of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission licensing process
for Watts Bar Unit 2. The tests were completed over eight weeks. "Good
work by our team has brought us to where we are today as we validate the
unit's ability to operate safely and the station's readiness for
dual-unit operation," said Mike Skaggs, TVA's senior vice president of
