Only 15 Percent of California's Big Solar Projects Are on the Right Kind of Land

The real estate agent's mantra is well known: location, location, location. But when considering where to site utility-scale solar projects, that bit of wisdom apparently isn't taken seriously enough. As a result, these projects may have negative impacts on the environment and will not be as cost effective or as carbon neutral as they could be. http://spectrum.ieee.org/energywise/green-tech/solar/where-solar-should-sit?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+IeeeSpectrum+%28IEEE+Spectrum%29&utm_content=FeedBurner
