Pilgrim foes decry NRC’s annual assessment
PLYMOUTH — Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station will remain classified as one of three worst performing reactors in the country, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's letter assessing the plant's performance in 2016.The letter, released Friday, doesn't deliver much more than the bottom line: The Entergy-owned plant will remain open, stay in Column 4 — one step above forced shutdown — and will continue to be watched closely by federal regulators.
