The House has placed three Department of Energy-related bills on the suspension calendar today:
H.R. 4675, the Low Dose Radiation Research Act of 2018;
H.R. 4378, the Nuclear Energy Research Infrastructure Act of 2018; and
H.R. 4376, the Department of Energy Research Infrastructure Act of 2018.
The suspension calendar is used for bipartisan, non-controversial
legislation. Bills on the suspension calendar have limited floor debate,
no floor amendments, and are passed with a two-thirds majority.
